Tech Talk Moving to New Site This Weekend – Act Now!

As we announced last week, the Tech Talk weblog will be completing the transfer to the new Mobile Health Marketplace (MHM) website this weekend.  On Monday, September 23rd, the Tech Talk blog will be available at the MHM site and this website will close down.

In addition to hosting the Tech Talk Blog, the new site will provide a mobile health App directory with several hundred Smartphone and tablet Apps.  These listings have been chosen based on their suitability for health, wellness, safety and workers’ compensation programs.

Changes at Tech Talk – New Services

Tech Talk is expanding and offering new services!  Beginning this week (September 9th) we will be moving our blog to a new site:

In addition to covering technology trends for the workers’ compensation market, we will:

• Provide an App Directory which includes several hundred carefully selected apps from the 40,000+ medical and health apps on the market.  These listings have been chosen based on their suitability for employer-sponsored health, wellness, safety and workers’ compensation programs.
• Expand the coverage of the Tech Talk weblog to include technology developments in employer sponsored health, wellness and safety programs in addition to the current focus on workers’ compensation.

We are making these enhancements to address two important changes in the healthcare marketplace.

First, mobile health solutions are growing at greater than 60% per year and are increasingly being used to improve delivery of health, medical and safety services.  We want to help facilitate the integration of these technologies into employer sponsored programs.

Second, we believe that the changes taking place in the healthcare delivery system will increasingly result in integration of workers’ comp technologies with those that support health, wellness and safety programs.  For this reason,  we are expanding our coverage to include the entire world of employer-sponsored health technologies.
